   Yes, although we consider developing integrity and character in our students as our highest priority, the school has always been known for its high academic standards.  Both Stanford Achievement Testing and Scholastic Achievement Testing (SAT’s) have proven our outstanding academic program.

   Our students live in Beaverton, Aloha, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Tigard, North Plains, Portland, and a variety of other locations on the west side of Portland.

   Although our academic program is designed to help the best students excel and prepare for college, our small class sizes and professional and caring teachers help slower students reach their potential.

   No, all students are expected to be full-day students.  We have found that modified schedules detract from our goal of providing an atmosphere where close relationships are formed and where students take ownership of the school and its programs.

    Our students come from Christian families that have shown their commitment to the Christian education of their children.  As a whole, our students show godly values behavior that reflects well on their family and the Lord Jesus Christ.
    
    
13. Where is Faith Bible Christian School located?
    Faith Bible Christian School (grades P – 8) is near the intersection of 170th and Blanton in the Aloha area just 20 minutes west of Portland, OR.  Faith Bible High School (grades 9 – 12) is located near the intersection of 45th and Tualatin Valley Highway in Hillsboro, just 30 minutes west of Portland, OR.
    
    
14. When was Faith Bible Christian School founded?
    Faith Bible Christian School was founded by Faith Bible Church in 1976.  Around 1995, the school became an independent Christian school.

    At this time, about 410 students are enrolled.

    No, but we do have a dress code that helps our students maintain a modest appearance.

    About 85% of our students attend colleges and universities, about 5% attend vocational schools, about 5% enter the military services, and about 5% enter the workforce.

    Our graduates tell us that most are able to test out of basic coursework and they that they are especially prepared for their Freshman courses.

    Yes, our college-bound seniors receive an average of  $8,000 to $10,000 per year in college scholarships.

    High School Level - we use curriculum from Saxon, Bob Jones, Abeka, Glencoe, Wordsmith, and Addison Wesley.
    Junior High Level - we use ABeka, Bob Jones, ACSI, CSI, Lifeway, and Saxon.
    Elementary Level – we use ABeka, Bob Jones, ACSI, CSI, Lifeway, and Simply Science.

    Our faculty averages about 15 years experience in teaching.

    The mission of Faith Bible Christian School is to build academic excellence, develop Christ-like character, and equip students to server others.  We exist to partner with Christian families to help educate their children.  We do not exist to evangelize or reform students.  Our purpose is to help students mature in their relationship with Christ and develop knowledge and skills that will allow them to serve others.

26. How does Faith Bible High School encourage spiritual growth?
    Our highest priority is helping students develop and maintain a close walk with the Savior.  Everything we do is centered on that purpose.  Monday morning devotions, Wednesday afternoon chapel, Bible classes, and Christian teachers who model Christ-like character help accomplish this purpose.
