AP US History

This is a college level course that surveys American history. Students are asked to analyze historical material, to synthesize their own ideas and to evaluate those of others. They are encouraged to develop a Christian worldview toward events and issues in our culture. More in depth reading and writing is expected in this course than in the regular U.S. History course. The course is structured to prepare the students for taking the national A.P. History test in May. Many colleges grant college credit for high scores on the A.P. test.

Textbook/Resource Materials Used:
American Past and Present, brief 5th edition published by Longman. Other material from the Internet and news sources are used along with primary and secondary sources.
