Anatomy / Physiology

This course is designed to introduce students to the structure and function of the human body. Chemistry, cells, tissues, and the first organ system (skin) are treated in the first section of class. The subsequent sections include systems requiring a good deal of anatomical terminology and understanding. Each organ system is approached from simple to increasingly complex levels. Building in an understanding of the concepts, rather than rote memorization, is emphasized.
