Elementary Grading

Grade Calculation
Each year is divided into four quarters or two semesters.  Quarters about 9 weeks in length and semesters 18 weeks in length.  Grades are given for each course at the end of each quarter.  Semester grades are calculated by averaging the previous two quarters.

Grading Scale

A+	100-98	C+	82-80
A	97-95	C	79-77
A-	94-92	C-	76-74
B+	91-89	D+	73-71
B	88-86	D	70-68
B-	85-83	D-	67-65

Grading for Early Ed. and Primary
Pre-K, Kindergarten, and primary grades may use the following for assessment (grades) in their content areas:

• "E" = Excelling
• "S" = Satisfactory
• "N" = Needs Improvement
