SUMMER PHOTO CONTEST
It’s almost summertime! Some of you will have “stay-cations” and some will find
yourselves adventuring to far off places. Here’s something FUN to do this summer and let
everyone know you’re taking your FAITH with you!
Here’s how it works:
- Take a picture of you, your family, your pets, your friends, a group wearing
something FAITH (a gym shirt, a Faith t-shirt, a window sticker!)
- The picture can be:
- Doing something FAITH related:
- Academics - are you in summer school? Visiting a university or college this summer?
Driving by a school in Alexandria, VA? Reading a trail head map? Get creative!!
- Christ-like Character - are you spreading God’s love by smiling and being friendly on
vacation? Are you sharing Christ through your actions and your attitude? Are you having
fun and being a good representative of your faith and your school? Be creative!
- Serving Others - are you serving food at a mission? Planting a neighbor’s garden?
Attending the Creation Festival? Visiting an aging relative? Leading a Bible Study?
Serving chili at a family reunion? Have FUN being creative!
- At a place you relate to FAITH (a church, a beautiful place that shows
God’s beauty through creation, a WONDER (like a HUGE roller coaster – and you need FAITH
to ride it!!) CREATIVITY and life in Christ can be fun!
- A Faith Bible window sticker – in a place you wouldn’t expect to see
it! (You know how much fun it is to see an Oregon license plate in a sea of other states
license plates when you’re traveling across country? How about a Faith Bible Window
Sticker gracing your Aunt Barb’s home or vehicle in Myrtle Beach…or in Mexico?
- Submit your pictures as you take them to: melody.wright@faithkids.org and, for all you Facebook fans (www.facebook.com) you can join the Facebook group “FAITH-full SUMMER”
and download your pictures there, write on the wall, and tell us about your summer as it happens!
- Here are some categories we’ll judge on:
- Most unique place
- Furthest away place
- Most creative place
- Most creative pose
- Most creative tie in to FAITH!
- A special prize given to the family who finds a church or school (the furthest away) with the word “Faith” in its title and takes a picture in front of it.
- Best picture of the themes “academics” “Christ-like character” and “serving others”
This will be a fun way to stay connected with your Faith family through the summer –
we’ll send out emails periodically with a picture we’ve received in!
If you’d like an extra window sticker to take with you, they’ll be available at the
school picnic and, at either office during the summer.
